THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT MENTALLY STRONG PEOPLE
Mentally strong people are known for these things and many more, they are intentional people and they know how to keep their peace, here are the 5 others;
They prioritize what matters and discard things that do not matter:
I repeat, having a priority list is very pertinent. As a young adult, ask yourself these questions; what are the things that matter to me at this point in my life? What are the things that do not require my attention? Things that matter should be on the top of your list, then discard the things that do not need your utmost attention. Be deliberate about the things that exhaust your time, so you can channel your energy, emotions, and resources to the things that will give you joy and sustain your mental health.
They focus on things they can control:
They focus on what is in their power and do not waste time or energy on things they cannot control. Focusing on what we can’t control makes us less effective and potentially leads to the outcomes we fear the most. The more time and energy we’re spending on the things we can’t control, the less time and energy we’re spending on the ways in which we can make a difference.
They do not dwell in unhappy /negative thoughts:
Thoughts that are intrusive should be disregarded. Command the things that linger in your mind, a negative thought should not be found, try to always look at the bright side.
They are always thinking ahead:
Your foresight has to be active. Always think ahead of time, prepare for things to come, do not be comfortable in the NOW. Get up on your feet and plan for the future. The future will not take care of itself if you have not properly prepared for it.
They are grateful people:
Appreciation has a way of helping one’s heart believe that all is well. Be grateful to someone. You can give yourself a task of ‘being grateful to two people per day, at the end of the day, get feedback from self to self, to see if you have done well.
Don’t compare your life to others and don’t judge them. You have no idea what their journey is all about. Live each day, bearing in mind that there are better days ahead. Keep calm and enjoy the process.
I hope you find your happiness soon. I hope you find a place that feels like home and a heart whose beat sounds like family, find the place that brings out the being in you, the human in you, a place where all your dreams turn into realities, a place where you can spread your wings, and finally not be afraid to fly.
