SEX REDUCES SYMPTOMS OF DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY
Let’s interrupt the regular flow of programming just a little because……some people have been looking at me with “side-eye” and I am afraid for my life
So a little Sex Ed will not hurt anyone, shall we?
Dealing with depression and anxiety can be tough in so many ways, it can make people lose interest in pleasurable things in their lives and it can also increase irritability and pessimism, and right at the core of this feeling is a chronic and pervasive feeling of worthlessness.
While the above flyer text might seem like a Jackpot to anyone dealing with Anxiety & Depression, it is important that I add that “Sex isn’t a “cure” for anxiety or depression o”, but the feel-good hormones and chemicals that are released during sex can temporarily reduce symptoms of both mental health challenges.
These include dopamine, endorphins, and oxytocin which can boost mood, increase compassion, and help you bond with your partner.
While the levels of those chemicals increase with sex, the level of cortisol, the primary stress hormone, also lowers with sex.
So pretty much, More sex, less stress
And the people of the Lord shall say???
