REALITY TV MUST DEAL WITH MENTAL HEALTH
This conversation I had with the editor of The Guardian, is a must-read! Reality TV shows must begin to deal with and put into consideration, the mental health of the cast members of the show before and after the show.
When Kayvee left the house on Mental health-related issues just a few days on the show, the question on everyone’s mind was, If he was evaluated before he was selected for the show? Was the isolation with strangers in the house too overwhelming & Triggering? Was he already living with this mental illness or was this just a relapse?
Post Show: Tega deactivated her IG account and from everyone around her, because of the immense cyberbullying and constant trolling, even her close friends & Acquaintances couldn’t reach her, we wonder if she’s ok, especially after tweeting “I’m done, I’m Mentally Exhausted “, I truly hope that she’s ok. But beyond hope, I hope and implore the organisers of this show to create a pre-show, during the show and Post-show therapy session for all members of the cast.
