20 YEARS OF LEARNING
Instead of thinking about that wedding dress, go and get therapy first, instead of planning that lit after party, go and book an appointment with a therapist first.
Why?
85% of the problems that we face or create are a function of our traumas and our experiences, good or bad. As a result, our traumatic experiences will actively keep overriding the information that we think we know, if we are not intentionally & actively resolving them.
“Therapy will help you get to the root of why you act the way you do, Vs “Being told how to act”
Let me share a quick technology analogy. 😁
When you use your mobile phones or devices, there’s something I think is called “hybernating apps”, these apps are on your dashboard running and still using your data, weather they are active or not. In most cases, these apps are there because you opened them before ,but kept opening other apps as you needed them, but didn’t remember to close them. These activity generally contribute to the optimisation of that device (Swipe left for a picture reference 👉) . This is what traumas are to a person, they are the supposed “In active/hybernating apps” that are installed on your devices by your collective experiences, they are there quietly in the background and they pop up when the situation warrants it. This is exactly how alot of people live their lives, they make choices based on those hybernating traumas unknowingly, and guess what??? Without proper resolutions, they carry all of that into a marriage union with another human being, who has similar & peculiar applications running too (traumas), and without properly identifying and resolving them, these two people decide to get married, and all they have been told during counseling do not address these applications (traumas), what do you think will happen in the marriage? 🤔🤔🙄🙆♀️🤦♀️🤷♀️
An explosion of applications (traumas) that will cause your phone/devices to be “hanging or frozen”. This is why your phone hangs sometimes, this is why your marriage “Hang sometimes too”, you gerrit?
Continued from last post, and it continues “still” in next post…..
